Born to a British Pakistani family, Amir began boxing before he was a teenager and achieved amateur stardom by winning a silver medal at the 2004 Olympics. As a professional, he first won the Commonwealth Lightweight title in 2007 and the WBA Light Welterweight Title in 2009.
In his personal life, Amir has had some driving mishaps, but aren't all boxers supposed to be bad boys anyway. Besides, his humanitarian efforts (contributing to the Indian Ocean tsunami fund, as well as the Kashmir earthquake relief) outweigh the bad boy stuff.
Meanwhile, I admire his list of opponents... and a bit envious too.
Boxing is so homerotic, how can you net get a hard-on watching two great looking, half-naked guys getting sweaty and physical?! I can't.
And now there's that May GQ article...
Either clothed or half-naked, he is very handsome and very suckable....
My mouth is watering right now!
