According to EqualityMatters.org, the fast food company Chick-Fil-A donated nearly $2 million in 2009 to groups that have anti-gay agendas, as documented in IRS records. An earlier investigation by Equality Matters found that the company also donated more than $1 million to anti-gay groups between 2003 and 2008. 
Well, Miss Cathy, opposing gay marriage is one thing, but to use some of the money collected by all of your patrons to support groups with a larger anti-gay agenda is another... So you're just creating a lot of raving mad people who care about basic civil rights and who'd rather go somewhere else to get their chicken and a pickle.
And, yes, closing your stores on Sunday always seemed just a little too self-righteous, unbusinesslike and kind of stupid to me. Just think of all the fagbashing athiests, agnostics and Jews that go hungry when they pull up to their favorite Chick-Fil-A on a Sunday only to find it closed. Luckily, more and more people are cackling about this... According to the Huffington Post, students from at least six universities, including University of North Texas, Mississippi State University, and the University of New Orleans, have launched petitions asking their schools not to support Chick-Fil-A and other anti-LGBT businesses. LGBT activists have also staged protests at a number of Chick-Fil-A locations throughout the country, including Chicago and Hollywood.__________________________________________________________
