The fight for gay marriage continues nationwide! Thanks to the hard work of many dedicated advocates, state by state, the growth of gay marriage legislation is increasing.... Most recently, Washington state's legislature voted for it, and an appeals court in California overruled the attempt to ban the gay marriage law.  (Details on this year's state activities, and photo at right, found on The Blaze.)

And in my own home state of Maryland, the sexy governor (left) and his hunky little sidekick... um, I mean lieutenant governor, are leading the fight in the state legislature, even lining up black ministers to support the bill this year, hoping to gain more votes than last year, when there was not yet the momentum needed.

"Yesterday, we introduced the Civil Marriage Protection Act,” O’Malley announced at the bill's introduction. “It balances equal protection of the law for every individual with free exercise of religion without government interference. I hope that you can and will show your support of this bill, by making a contribution to Marylanders for Marriage Equality today.”

(The Maryland state flag is colorful already, but adding a figurative rainbow and equal marriage rights for all, would make it even prettier.)
